Unless you are desperate for a room, keep looking - there are better rooms at lower price like Pepe which is just a block away on the opposite side of the hotel. In Merida, I stayed at Hotel Reforma which is located at Call 59 #508 (between Calle 60 and 62). Very nice, clean room. There is a pool and breakfast is included (bread and coffee). Tel: 732 0001. Single bed is peso 305 and a double bed is peso 340. |

On my last night in Merida, I stayed at Margarita. You just need to pick a room by the hallway on the second floor which is much cooler. The hotel is located at Calle 66 #506 (between Calle 61 and 63). Tel: 923 7236. Single bed is peso 105 and a double is peso 140. |

Back in Tijuana, this is where I stayed. It is a better choice than Hotel Emperador. Pepe Hotel is located at Calle Coahuila 8140 (on the same road as Hotel Emperador). Tel: 685 0112. Single is US$15 and a double is US$20. |
